Meeting Reminders: Game and Fish wants to know about your recent hunt and your input for 2017 hunting seasons

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold a series of meetings in the Lander and Green River regions to gather information from the public to help develop proposals for future hunting seasons. Over the past several years December public meetings have been a valuable way for the public and the Game and Fish to share thoughts, concerns, and ideas for upcoming seasons. This year will be no different. These meetings will provide a wrap-up of recent hunting seasons and an opportunity for hunters to talk about what they experienced during the 2016 seasons and to give input for the 2017 hunting seasons.

There will be a public meeting on Thursday, December 8, 6 pm at the Jeffery Center in Rawlins. There will also be a public meeting on Thursday December 22, 6 pm, at the Valley Community Center in Baggs.

Baggs Wildlife Biologist Tony Mong said they will also be live broadcasting these public meetings over the Internet for those who cannot make the public meeting in person. “This has worked well for us in the past to increase the number of people able to attend the meeting,” Mong said.

Here is the link for the public to access the meeting via the Internet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E6jrpqbAPM

Game and Fish supports the Americans with Disabilities Act. Anyone needing auxiliary aids should contact the Green River office at 307-875-3223. Every effort will be made for reasonable accommodations.
