Outdoor Life to Launch New Website

Get excited: Not only is the rut right around the corner, but we'll be launching our first major website redesign since 2006 at the end of the month. This new design loads faster, gives more room to our photos and videos, and features an improved commenting and Answers system to help you learn from and chat with fellow readers.

You'll see the biggest differences on our new home and channel page layouts, where we're giving more space to our big stories. Narratives with gorgeous photos, feature packages and original video content take time to get right and so won't change out as often. We want everyone to see our best work. Also, now our features and videos will look just as good on your phone or tablet as they do on desktop.

There will be some changes for registered users.
The first time upon signing in you'll be given the option to answer a few questions about how you hunt and fish. This is to get a better idea of what kind of stories and content you'd prefer to see more of on the site

The user photo uploads on the Bragging Board and Trophy Room pages will be going away. You'll need to download them off our site if you want to keep them. We still want to see your photos please share them with us on Facebook and Instagram. You'll also be able to share photos on our site using our popular Answers section.

-The leaderboard will be going away temporarily, but don't worry: The points are still tracked (all points and ranks from the old site will be retained).

-For a few days leading up to the launch, new-user registration, and possibly comments and the Answers section, will be down. Please bear with us, they'll be back up after the launch.

-If you've visited the Field and Stream site lately, you will have noticed that the editors at F&S have already launched a new website. If you're a registered user on both sites, you will be able to log in to both with the same username and password (so, use your F&S username and password for both sites).
