Game and Fish seeks information on deer poaching near Evanston evan deer poach
EVANSTON—Wyoming Game and Fish Department game warden Nick Roberts is looking for information about a buck mule deer poached over the weekend of September 17 and 18 in hunt area 168, near Evanston.
“A hunter found a buck deer that appeared to be shot with a firearm and left to waste,” Roberts said. "The deer was shot off Painter Road, east of Hwy 89, on the Medicine Butte Hunter Management Area. The carcass was found Monday morning, September 19, and was most likely shot on Saturday or Sunday. The deer died about 100 yards from the road and was shot from very nearby, as the shot was very well placed.”
