Lander - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department needs your help to promote positive sportsmen/landowner relations.
Across Wyoming, Game and Fish manages numerous public access areas (PAA's) to provide access opportunities to the sporting public. Many of the PAA's are on private land where Game and Fish has purchased an easement so the public can access rivers, creeks, and landlocked public lands. Amenities such as informational signs and vault outhouses are often provided at access areas for the convenience and benefit of those using the areas. This infrastructure can lead to the appearance that these areas are public land, though they are not.
The landowner for each PAA stipulates the type of access allowed on their land. On the Game and Fish website you can view all the PAA's and the type of access allowed on each one. Each PAA will have signage specifying allowable uses for that specific area please read, understand follow these posted regulations in order to maintain positive sportsmen/landowner relations.
Across the State, some recent examples of misuse have been camping, dog walking, parking outside of designated areas, fires, and more. Thank you for your work to respect these lands and landowner.
