Ring Lake is a natural glacier lake and is the smallest of the "3 lakes" area near Dubois. The other two lakes in this group are Torrey and Trail lakes. These lakes are located on Torrey Creek which is a tributary to the Wind River. With the Wind River Mountains to the south and east of the lake, and the expansive badlands in the other two directions, the scenery should be part of any fishing trip... Getting there:
From Dubois, take U.S. Highway 26/287 southeast for 3.5 miles. Turn right (south) on County Road 257 and follow it 5 miles to the lake.
