High Savery Dam and Reservoir is located on Savery Creek. Savery Creek is a tributary to the Little Snake River and is located in the Green River drainage. The reservoir is a relatively new by most standards, having been constructed over the 2001-2004 time frame. The dam is 130 feet high and is an earthen-fill structure. Getting there:
From Rollins: Take Wyoming Highway 71 south, 38.5 miles from the I-80 exit. The highway name will change to County Road 401.
From Saratoga: Take County Road 500 east for 25 miles to the junction with County Road 401. Turn left(south) onto County Road 401 and go aproximately 5 miles to the boat ramp road.
The reservoir is on the west side of County Road 401 about 1.5 miles from the boat ramp road turnoff.
The road to the reservoir usually opens in mid to late-May.
