Lake Owen (also referred to as Berg Reservoir) receives water from Rob Roy Reservoir through a gravity pipeline. Lake Owen is one of the water storage reservoirs for the city of Cheyenne. The earthen dam was constructed in 1963.

Getting there:
From Laramie, take Wyo Highway 130 17 miles to Highway 11.
Turn left (south) on Highway 11 and go 8 miles.
Turn left (south) on County Road 11 (Fox Creek Road) and go 1.5 miles to Forest Service Road 517.
Turn right (west) and go 2 miles.
Turn left (south) onto Forest Service Road 540 and continue to the reservoir.
