I'm planning a trip to ice fish for burbot early next year. i've heard to use glow baits, and fish rocky areas, but can anyone guide me to a good place to start? I've never fished them before so any information is greatly appreciated.
That sounds like a really fun trip. I would hope to make it there myself some day. Sorry I won’t be much help but I wish you the best on your trip. You could do some goggle searches and utube for some more info.
At Lake of the Woods we always caught Burbot at night using minnows. It was always at night. I imagine they eat about anything but minnows are what we had for that trip.
We were fishing rock piles well out from shore also. Ice fishing camp basically.
