Lake: Lake Hattie

Ice conditions

Does anyone know the Ice condition for Lake Hattie? I will be drive several hours to get there and dont want to be dis-appointed with unsafe ice or no ice.

The folks at Gowdy said that their lakes are almost all ice free. Hattie I think is the same elevation. Have not seen conditions for myself but thought it might be helpful for your question.

Eric thanks I would be driving a few hours from Boulder Co so yes it help for me to take the right gear with me.

I called the Laramie Fly Shop this morning to find out about open water instead of ice conditions, and they said Hattie had a little open water but not anywhere accessible and expected it would completely cap back over in next day or two. You might want to call them just before heading up.
