Best fishing in southern WY?

I recently took a trip up from the Denver area to Glendo state park for a quick few hours to see what the hype was about, and boy was it amazing. Absolutely gorgeous and some great fish. Got a few walleye and perch mostly off a generous gentlemans pontoon boat as be drifted in circles for about an hour just off shore near the dam. Anyways, I know there are a lot of great places in the middle of the state and further north, but I'm planning on working in the ft Collins area for a while and would love any pointers on places in or near Cheyenne. I am mostly a lake/pond Fisher but have recently purchased a the fly items and plan to hit some streams and rivers up in the near future.

Thanks for your time and help.

Edit:. Looking for any species!!!

Try the laramie planes lakes. 20 minutes west of laramie. About 1.5 hours from ft collins. Hattie, twin buttes are better from some sort of boat or toon. meabore, galete, alsop are good from shore. diamond is also up and going again. If u want mountain lakes rob roy and lake owen are another 30 minutes west of the lakes i mentioned.

Thanks so much for the info. I finally found a great downloadable PDF that includes some of the species present in some of the bodies of water I was curious about. I'll have to add some of these others to my list of places to check out.
