New to Wyoming

Post By: JDubbs      Posted: 10/7/2018 1:46:35 PM     Points: 138
Hello everyone. I'm new to Wyoming and looking to get some friendly help. Im not looking for honey holes but would appreciate some guidance on which lakes near Cheyenne to head to check out. I'm looking for perch and walleye for the fall and ice fishing season. Would be really great to meet up with others to fish as well. Thanks and looking forward to meeting cool people.

I’m new to Wyoming too. Just started school at LCCC this September. It’s kind of a haul for some walleye, but I’ve caught some perch in absarraca. Curt Gowdy state park has some lakes that fish fair for trout. Other than that, I’m still pretty new to here as well.

Welcome.

Most of my fishing Wyoming has been the plains lakes around Laramie, a short drive to the west. (note, lived in Fort Collins, CO). Check them out, they produce some nice sized trout.
