So a buddy and me went up and fished the mile on Friday and Saturday. Landed quite a few fish throwing hardware (mainly spinners and kasties) and only kept a few for dinner. On Saturday evening, I was fishing an unknown type of streamer, that I had previously found, on a spinning rod with a pencil weight just drifting it through one of the pools and had the biggest trout I had ever seen inhale the bait. I had caught a couple on it just previously, but didn't think about the fact that the weight was tied directly to the line, and probably needed checking. I got the trout, estimated at 26" and probably close to 7 lbs, about a foot from bank and he snapped me off at the weight. At least I got to see it, but would have made me even happier to have gotten a true measurement. This is what keeps me coming back. The chance at a true monster! Pics are of a couple that we kept for dinner. 21" and 19". Also caught my first true cutthroat that was CNR'd.
