Downriggers and kokanee gear

After fishing for Kokes with shiverfix, I realize I want a downrigger or two. Also need trolling rods and reels, line, Dodgers/flashers and lures.
man oh man, lots of wants.

Where is a good place to look for downriggers and mounts for a Lund with their mounting track system that won't break the bank?
What kind of rods and reels and line do you like for trolling for Kokes?
Thanks in advance!

My suggestion for downriggers would be to watch Ebay and the local classifieds. Maybe get with the marinas to see if they know of anyone who has upgraded and wants to sell their old riggers. As you saw, the Cannon was way easier to use than the Big Jon, but both got the ball down (:

For trolling, I now wish I had gotten a lighter trolling rod than that Cabelas one I picked up on sale. There was quite a difference in feeling when fighting the fish between that and that baitcaster I was using as a trolling rod. I haven't actually used any Okuma reels yet (picked one up for the shark fishing I didn't end up doing), but they review really well.

Both Bass Pro and Cabelas sell trolling combos as another option.

As for gear, I got the flashers and squid from a company called Rocky Mountain Tackle.

They have gear they suggest specifically for Flaming Gorge.
