Heading on a trip with my dad and brother to the mile and siminoe next weekend. I havent been up that way in ten years (since i moved away).
Any tips hot spots to put them on? What are the best baits/tactics to catch a large quantity of fish?

I dont want secret hotspots or anyhting like that, im just looking to get them on some good Wyoming fishing that i remember.

the flows on the mile are around 1560 but thats all i know about the mile.
i can guess that streamers, hd trout, countdowns, flicker shads would all work in the river.

As for the lake, i was just there last week. caught bows in 5-10fow in the first cove in the state park (the road they just rebuilt)
the carp are very shallow right now. they are huge! but i suck at catching them so they just swam in front of me all day.
i was using kastys (orange/silver and green/silver 1/4oz)

One of the interesting things about fish is they behave much the same no matter where they are.

For the river I would start drift "generic" nymphs and depending on success switch over to streamers (bigger fish, lower hook-up game). Note, I primarily fly fish.

As to the carp, depending on water clarity I'd toss flies in front, way in front of them (in direction they're moving). Clearer the water, the smaller the pattern. As they approach the fly, I'd twitch it and watch the reaction. If they're feeding you'll know soon enough. In stained water, I use larger crayfish style patterns.
