Game and Fish Commission to meet in January in Dou
The public is invited to attend meeting open house
Cheyenne - The Wyoming Game and Fish Commissionís next meeting is Jan. 17-18, 2018 and the public is invited to attend and provide input. The meeting will be held in Douglas at the Wyoming State Fair and Rodeo Grounds, McKibben Cafeteria Building, 400 West Center Street.
Topics the Commission will address at this meeting include proposed fee changes for limited quota applications, an informational presentations on Hornyhead Chub conservation efforts, on chronic wasting disease work, on emerging technologies for hunting, and a look back at the 2017 hunting season. An update on the ongoing Wyoming Game and Fish Public Engagement and strategic planning process will also be given.
On Jan. 17 beginning at 3 p.m., representatives from the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission, Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Wyoming Board of Agriculture, and the Wyoming Department of Agriculture will hold a joint meeting between the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission and the Wyoming Board of Agriculture. Discussion topics will include animal damage management board funding for wolf depredation, and updates on prairie dogs, sage grouse, grizzly bears and wolves.
In-person public comment opportunities are available during each specific agenda item and on any topic the public can speak to the Commission on Jan. 17 and 18 at the end of the day an agenda can be found on the Commission webpage. Game and Fish is also hosting a public open house with commissioners and department staff beginning at 5:30 p.m on Jan. 16 at the State Fair McKibben Cafeteria. Refreshments will be served and youth are encouraged to attend.
