Location: Flaming Gorge Reservoir
Entry Fee: $200 per team (2-3 members)
Registration:
Register online at flaminggorgefishderby.com by May 11 or until 400 teams are reached. Team check-in at Lucerne Valley Marina on Friday, May 16 (11:00 am-8:00 pm). Captains must be 18+ years old.
Tournament Times:
Saturday: 5:30 am-6:00 pm
Sunday: 5:30 am-1:00 pm
Fishing & Prizes:
Teams must fish together (same boat or shoreline).
Passengers allowed, but only team members may fish.
Prizes for heaviest fish in: Rainbow/Cutthroat Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Bass (Utah only), Channel Catfish, Brown Trout, Youth (13 & under), and Trophy Lake Trout (by length).
Only one fish per category per angler for the whole tournament.
Fish must be weighed at official marinas within 30 minutes after fishing ends each day.
Important Rules:
No culling: Decide to keep or release fish immediately upon capture.
All state and federal fishing and boating laws apply (including AIS/mussel inspections and certifications).
Bass can only be caught in Utah waters; possession in Wyoming = disqualification.
All Lake Flaming Gorge is open, except inside marina buoys.
Registration is non-refundable.
Awards & Ceremony:
Prizes awarded at Lucerne Valley Marina, Sunday, May 18, around 3:00 pm.
Cash prizes may vary based on entries.
The Flaming Gorge Fish Derby was established in 1984 to not only let sportsmen vie for large cash and prizes but to help the local area businesses kick off their summer season with some much-needed tourism funds.
