Last Day of 22 & WG - Enjoy your Fs!

Blog by: Matt Snider , CO 12/31/2022 (Return to blogs)
It is the last day of 2022, and with that the last day of our Winter Giveaway.  It is your last chance to enter to win something awesome (or perhaps the mystery box). Go now, put your last tickets in the jars, and then drill a hole through the ice that isn't quite big enough for that laker you hook into, or plop that gaudy purple tunsgten nymph you got for Christmas into a deep run on a tailwater that I can't get to right now, hook a rock, then realize that ain't no rock - it's moving.

I hope you have plans this weekend filled with a lot of Fs: friends, fish, family, football and fun (not necessarily in that order.)  I am looking forward to a new wind-less year with good ice on the front range, a warm and fishy spring, and a long Ontario muskie season. I hope your vision of this coming new year gets you excited.

Do not forget that there are still discount codes from WG partners that we made available to FishExplorer members.  Some expire today while others last a bit longer (expiring today: frogg toggs, Outdoor Element, Deeper, Karmik, and Pale Blue). So we will leave that page up for a bit since the rest (Yakoda, Mountain Khakis, and DSG) go a bit longer. Thanks to BDF_Beats_GDW for sending us a note that a link to that page was broken as listed on the WG pages. Go get yourself some gear!

Happy New Year's Eve everyone!
I hope every fish you catch in 2023 makes you a bit happier with each one.

Thanks Jim! That pic is in Ontario - would live to get a group up there! Little bit further of a drive but worth it.

Having caught multiple warmwater species in Colorado on the fly in Colorado, Matt built FishExplorer as a means for anglers to maintain updated lake conditions, an element he finds critical in catching fish and enjoying our resources. An advocate of alternative fly fishing and fisheries preservation, Matt is an avid wiper and muskie fisherman traveling with boat in tow in pursuit of these hard-to-find fish. If a fish is willing to eat something, his bet is that it will eat a fly...
