Rod and Reel Arsenal - 2018

Blog by: Scott Brands , CO 10/9/2018
Was thinking that just for fun I would post the majority of my rod and reel arsenal for y'all to take a look at. Maybe it can help anyone looking for a technique specific set up in the near future. I don't have an affiliation with any of these companies so I have a hodge podge of brands. I like all of these set ups (some more than others) and you can feel free to ask me for my opinion on any of these set ups for honest feedback if you like. I do have some changes in the lineup planned that will take place once Black Friday sales hit but this is what I've got right now.

Rod: Duckett Triad 7’0” Medium Power Moderate Fast Action
Reel: Abu Garcia Revo ALT 6.4:1 Gear Ratio

Rod: Dobyns Fury 7’3” Medium Heavy Power Fast Action
Reel: Daiwa Steez 6.3:1 Gear Ratio
Uses: Chatterbaits, Spinnerbaits, and Texas Rigs

Rod: Shimano Curado 7’2” Medium Heavy Power Fast Action
Reel: Shimano Curado 200K 7.4:1 Gear Ratio
Uses: Jigs, Spinnerbaits, Chatterbaits, and Texas Rigs

Rod: iRod Genesis II 7’5” Heavy Power Fast Action
Reel: Abu Garcia Revo Rocket 9.1:1 Gear Ratio
Uses: Frogs and punching

Rod: Okuma Guide Select a Series Swimbait Rod 7’11” Heavy Power Moderate Fast Action
Reel: Shimano Cardiff 301A 5.8:1 Gear Ratio
Uses: Big Swimbaits

Rod: St Croix Triumph 6’6” Medium Light Power Fast Action Spinning
Reel: Pflueger President 2500
Uses: Light jigs and dropshot

Rod: Shimano (unknown model) 6’0 Medium Heavy Fast Action
Reel: Pflueger President 2500
Uses: Blade baits, Spoons, and Jigging raps

There you have it! Like I said this is the majority of my arsenal and I'm primarily a bass angler as you've probably guessed by now. I have a couple other setups that I purchased when I was first starting out that are now "guest rods". I also have a couple trolling set ups that I rarely use. Let me know if you have any questions about the lineup!
