Wichita Reservoir
Lake suffered a large fish kill from Golden Alga in 2009. Channel cats and carp are abundant enough to entertain fishermen.
Kickapoo Reservoir
Completed in 1947 with a surface area of 6,028 acres, Kickapoo is located 29 miles from Wichita Falls. This reservoir is heavily stained, limiting aquatic vegetation. Anglers often find bass off shallow points and islands. While catfish are throughout the reservoir, fishers do best in the upper sections.
Lake Kemp
Lake Kemp is an impoundment on the Wichita River north of Seymour with 15,590 surface acres. Completed in 1923, this large reservoir has suffered from golden algae in recent years. White bass remain abundant, and catfish are present in good numbers, but other species have suffered.
Lake Arrowhead
Lake Arrowhead is recognized as a premier white crappie lake. Be prepared to share the water with many other anglers in spring, when limits of nice-size crappie are caught in the lower half of the reservoir.
