Davis & Elber Win Lady Bass Anglers Association New Beginning Charity Tournament

(Garland, TX) – Donny Davis and Wayne Elber combined their fishing talents Saturday on Texas’ Lake Ray Hubbard to catch a five bass limit weighing in at 24.20 pounds to claim the $1,000 cash first place prize in the 2012 Lady Bass Anglers Association (LBAA) New Beginning Center Charity Tournament.

Davis and Elber also caught a 9.09-pound bass, which was the American Receivable Big Bass Award winner of $250. Davis and Elber bested 13 other teams to come out on top in this LBAA charity event.
Friday’s LBAA ProAm winner Pam Ridgle went no further than her family to find her fishing partner for Saturday’s charity event. Ridgle got her son Zay to team with her and this family twosome won two awards. The Ridgle’s won both the highest finishing team with a child under 12 on it and the highest finishing team with a female on it. Both awards were $200 in cash.

The most important award of the day was when LBAA officials presented Jennifer Morrison, Executive Director of The New Beginning Center with $1,400 in cash for their organization to use toward helping domestic violence victims find temporary transitional housing. The LBAA 2012 tour heads back to Lake Dardanelle just outside of Russellville, Arkansas on May 17-19 for stop number two.
