Resembling the bayous of South Louisiana, Caddo Lake is a treasure for fishing, scenery and wildlife viewing. The tannic stained waters hold the most species of fish in the state. Most of the Texas side of the lake resembles a flooded forest or a series of interconnected rivers and creeks. Only the "Big Lake" section near the Louisiana line has open water.... Getting there:
From I-20 Take Highway 43 North through Marshall. Turn right at intersection with FM 2198. Caddo Lake State Park and marinas in Uncertain, TX are located on FM 2198.
