went out for the 1st time on the lake today. we mainly just rode today, but did do some trolling before heading in. we caught some small sandbass on spinners in 12' of water.

I see reports from a guide on that lake periodically - they come in by email subscription. If you're interested the next time I get one I can forward it to you and then you can subscribe if you care to.

I also have a cousin that has a bait shop and rental cabins out there.

we are gonna drive over tomorrow and check them out. we are looking for a place to stay pretty regular at. we will not stay in texas next summer, but we need a good place to fish at close enough to dallas to fish with the grandsons.

It's been a while since I've been there, but it was a really nice place then.

your cousin has a really good bait and tackle shop. when I find a place there, I will definitely go by there to buy tackle

Sounds good. How did James look? It's been a couple of years or more since I've seen him.

james looks good. he is one of the guys who took over danny kings punch bait. I use it, but mostly use lewis kings. lewis is danny's brother. we are through at richland chambers and are heading home to take care of the cows and goats and then the next trip will be to the coast.

Glad to hear it! So, how was the fishing?

we caught quite a few catfish. we were not there while many people were catching sandbass or hybrids. the water temp is coming down, so fishing should get good. we will go back in the spring for a few weeks.
