Texas bass fisherman are a lot like Colorado laker guys, tight lipped. When I was growing up there we always caught some monsters and just never thought about taking picture, but that was pre internet. Dang I feel old now. I started a few Texoma guy trolling the site but they are more into stripers. Nice smallie by the way.

Everywhere you go there are a few tightlipped folks. I'm ok with that. But it always amazes me how many of those "secretive" types will pump another angler for information harder than a thirsty man at an hand pump well.

The great thing about Fish Explorer is that we don't except anyone share a "spot" just general information about water conditions that everyone appreciates knowing. And maybe asking/answering a question or two about techniques.

Over the years I've gotten better about carrying a camera to take a few shots of fish and scenery.

This time of year I'm happy to catch a bass of any size. Well okay...any time of year I'm happy to catch anything. But the bigger bass are much harder to come by right now. Part of that is the cold water, but a lot of it is that the cold water is caused by very low river flow due to the on-going drought conditions. Still haven't found that camera, maybe Santa will bring me one.
