Another week of AWESOME Catchin' on RC as we fished everyday except for Wednesday and ended the week with both boats fishing with Groups on Saturday Morning and Afternoon! The fishing has been equally good in the Morning and Afternoon with normally pretty easy limits of White Bass. The Hybrid Striper action has been a bit better in the early Morning on the Cloudy, Breezy days, but you never know when the Big One will hit as we've caught them in the Afternoons on some of the Bluebird Sky, calmer days! The Crappie spawn is nearing an end in the shallows as this Spring was a bit warmer earlier and the Crappie Catchin' actually started in early March.
We're catching our Whites on Slabs as usual, but we're also using a new "Tailspinner" from RSR Lures that is similar to a Lil' George. We're catching the Top Water and Suspended fish on this lure. Check it out at [log in for link]
. The bait is an improvement over others of it's type as the line doesn't snag on the Spinner, and the Spinner doesn't snag on the bait. If you've fished with a lure of this type, you know what I mean!
We've got a boat open on Tuesday AM or PM this week, and then an opening on Wednesday and Thursday PM. As we enter May, we still have lots of Weekdays we need to fill, but our Saturdays are booked till the middle of June. (We do still have one boat open on Saturday AM, May 26th, Memorial Day Weekend) It's none too early to plan your Summer outing with the Kids and Friends especially if you're looking for a Saturday trip. The Top Water Schooling Activity will kick in gear soon for those of you who like this action. The peak schooling will happen in the Summer (June thru September) and is best in the early Mornings.
Hope your Spring is going as good as ours and that we get to see you soon!
