The South Houston Bass Club is one of the oldest bass clubs in Texas. It was formed in 1975
by a group of men who shared the passion for bass fishing. The club thrives today with a roster of 20 members.
The club fishes ten tournaments a year. One every month, starting in February and ending in November.
Tournaments usually start between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Saturday and the weigh-in is at noon on Sunday.
Member's standings are based on a point system, one point per ounce of fish weighed in plus bonus points
for first, second, third place, and big bass. The top six fishermen of each year are eligible to fish the
"Top Six" tournament, at the expense of the club.
The club meets at 7:00 pm on the first Monday of each month (unless it's a holiday) and fishes the weekend
following the meeting (again, unless it's a holiday). We meet at Bass Pro Shops in Pearland, TX. Anyone
interested in coming to a meeting is welcome and can e-mail me for more information.
