Plano Bass Anglers

Contact: President - Dwayne Shamburger
Established in 1972 Plano Bass Anglers is the oldest bass fishing club in Plano, Texas. The club was established to promote fellowship and competitive fishing tournaments between it’s members.

The Club fishes a 10 event tournament year (January - October) plus a year-end Classic in November. All events are team format, with partners determined by individual selection (Choose your own or get one at the Monthly Meeting!) The Plano Bass Anglers club is non-boater friendly, and will try to accommodate all non-boaters in the field. We do our best to get every member on the water! Most events are 1 day with a couple of multi-day tournaments. Heaviest team stringer wins.

Individual results for Angler of the Year are based on an individual point system. Points are awarded for each member weighing fish in each regular season tournament. (100pts for 1st, 99pts for 2nd, etc...) In addition, 5 points are awarded for each meeting attended. Bonus points (1 point per pound) are added based on the stringer weight. Highest point total after the 10 regular season tournaments (Drop 2 Tournaments) wins the Angler of the Year title. The "Top Six" anglers at the end of the regular season will have the opportunity to represent the club at the Texas B.A.S.S. Federation Championship tournament (Federation members only).

Tournament entry fees are $35 per angler ($5 is for the Bass Pot). Payout is 100% to 1st thru 3rd place. The Big Bass pot is winner take all.
