Blog by: Matt Snider , CO 12/6/2023 (Return to blogs)
Part of Series: Winter Giveaway
We have the gear to keep you warm, dry and safe on the water and on the ice in the 2023 FishExplorer Winter Giveaway!  Enter and you might just win a prize from one of the partners listed below that I am so thankful to have involved with this year's event.

frogg toggs
This year frogg toggs is back with an absolutely amazing prize - a jacket and bib set of their top rain gear. If I won this (which I can't, but you can - I am only imagining) I would be so excited to pack it in my gear for our annual muskie hunting trip to Ontario next year.  We need it up there every day - and based on our last Colorado drenching spring, I am guessing many of you found out your rain gear wasn't as up to par as it could be. Here's your chance to obtain a sweet set of dryness and comfort. I am very appreciative of frogg toggs' continued support of FishExplorer and offering such terrific prizes over the years. Check out all their gear on their website, and visit their Facebook and Instagram pages.

Kahtoola
As mentioned in the newcomers blog, I am pleased to have this ice safety gear for you to win.  I'd much rather see you landing fish than landing on your head this ice fishing season.  Kahtoola is new here, but slick ice is not, so try to win a pair of their over-shoe spikes this year to help you keep your footing.  You'll thank me later!  See more on their website, on Facebook, and Instagram

Kuhl
I love that Kuhl has been involved with our Winter Giveaway these past few years, and they are back again with a great jacket.  Based out of Utah, Kuhl knows how to make good clothing. The AKTIVATOR Men's Jacket looks great and performs great, especially in the wind which you're all familiar with.  This is another item I need in my Canadian fishing gear bag! Breathable and comfortable. Win this and enjoy your cool, windy spring fishing trips! You can see more on their website, on Facebook, and on Instagram

Miss Mayfly
These waders look awesome.  I've never tried them on (they're designed for women) but they seem SO comfortable.  I mentioned Miss Mayfly in the newcomers blog. Recently my daughter has chosen to spend some time with me on the river, much to my delight.  She's been wearing my wife's old waders from I don't know how long ago, baggy and stiff.  They work fine, but man would she love a pair of these.  I suppose I should also consider a pair my wife too - she can fish pretty darn good, and often out-fishes me. Perhaps a good looking comfortable well-fitting pair of waders is what we need. Miss Mayfly has them for you.  Miss Mayfly has more than waders too - wading boots, apparel, dog outerwear, and a lot more.  I'm telling you - go check out their website for some very unique one-of-a-kind gifts for the holidays. Also check out their Facebook page and Instagram page.

Sidas & Therm-ic
Always wonderful to have this group in on the Winter Giveaway!  There is nothing that'll ruin an otherwise fine day than getting your feet wet while ice fishing, I know first-hand and you likely do to. Ever since I got a boot dryer from Therm-ic, I use it all the time for my everyday shoes as well as my wet fishing boots. Add in the cedar dryer bags and my guess is people will stop complaining behind your back about the odor. The Powersocks are back too - battery operated socks to keep your tootsies toasty.  I love this stuff. You can learn more about Sidas on their website, on Facebook and Instagram.  And Therm-ic on their website and on Facebook and Instagram

If a fish is willing to eat something, his bet is that it will eat a fly...
