East Texas redneck goes to Colorado - fishing?

My entire family convinced me to take a vacation in Breckenridge, CO.
We are staying at Ten Mile Terrace resort....and would be interested in a day or half day of fishing (or more).
I really don't own any light fishing tackle.......I would really appreciate any advice on how to get some fishing in while there. Open to any suggestions!
Thanks
Dave Mauldin

There are lots of fly shops in the area where you could do a guided float trip if you are willing to pay. Often they provide the gear for you. The Blue River coming out of DIllion Reservior is good fishing too and if you go north out of Silverthorne you will follow the Blue River and end up at Green Mountain reservoir. If you are willing to drive there is the colorado and roaring fork rivers which are gold medal up near glenwood springs which is about 1.5-2 hours away.

There is a little lake right in the middle of Breckenridge that offers a fun time for some small-ish browns and bows. You're pretty close to good fishing in any direction, the biggest challenge would be gear. BassPro in Denver offers some great prices on lighter tackle and maps!

Up in the mountains, bring bass tackle and go pike/muskie fishing. Otherwise, if you have any spinning rod (drop shot, etc.) or a jerkbait rod, bring some chrome jerkbaits and go trout fishing. I've done trout fishing with LC pointers 78 and 100 on 7' medium baitcasters, even spinnerbaits have worked. Don't need to have light tackle for trout.
