Our effort to produce and maintain a quality fishing resource takes a team. It is not just us, it involves you too. If you love fishing and like this resource, please consider joining us in running it!

Field Editors take on a lake or river (or more) and commit to keeping reports and information up to date for it. Besides providing current conditions, Field Editors review reports submitted by other members before they are approved.

Help with other sections of FishExplorer

In addition to maintaining conditions and information up to date on lakes and rivers, you can also help in the following areas:

• Calendar Editor

  Adds fishing-related events to the calendar, reviews events that have been submitted by other members.

• News Editor

  Maintains postings of fishing-related news in our news section for the state.

• Regional Editor

  Oversees a region of the state, its lakes and rivers, and all the Field Editors within it. Finds new Field Editors.

• Reports Editor

  Oversees Regional Editors of the state and all the reports that come through on lakes/rivers missing Field Editors and/or Regional Editors.

• Blogger

  Fish a lot? Write funny fishing stories? Have an expertise in a field of fishing? We always welcome new writers!

• Other

  Feel like there's something else you can help with? Always feel free to reach out!

Submit Reports

If you can't commit to any "official" role, we simply ask everyone chip in a tiny bit by reporting conditions updates on a lake or river whenever they can. Find out more about reporting here.

Information Updates

In addition, we always welcome and need information on changes to any lake or river pages. Fees, rules, and general information is always in flux, and we need your help to offer the latest, most accurate information available. Contact us any time you notice something that needs to be edited, fixed, removed, or added.
