Lake Shipp connects to Lake Lulu in the southeast through a canal and Lake May and eventually Lake Howard through a canal in the northern end. The boat ramp on the eastern shore is often used as the launch site for bass tournaments. This is a good fishery for largemouth bass.... Log infor additional details...
Getting there:
Sertoma Park Boat Ramp 1651 Lake Shipp Drive. From US 17 turn left (NW) onto E Lake Shipp Drive go about 1.5 miles the park (Sertoma Park) is on the right.
Eastern shore boat ramp: 2403 Seventh Street SW. From US 17 heading north turn left (NW) onto S Lake Shipp Drive. Cross the railroadtracks then turn right at the light onto 7th Street SW. Go across the canal and the park will be on the left.
