Newnans Lake is designated as a Fish Management Area. The lake is surrounded by cypress trees that provide good angling when water levels are high. There are also some areas of emergent grasses, bulrush, and spatterdock (water lilies) found around the shoreline. Recreational activities around the lake include hiking, bicycling, fishing, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, canoeing and picnicking.... Log infor additional details...

Take Highway 20 two miles east of Gainesville and the boat ramp will be on the left in Earl P Powers Park.
