Lake Dexter is one of the many lakes off the St Johns and produces good catches of Largemouth Bass and is frequented during bass tournaments out of Astor. Getting there:
Astor public ramp take SR 40 west over the St John's River bridge, then take a left on John's St to ramp.
Astor Landing campground, from the S.R. 40 bridge in Astor, go west on S.R. 40 for 1 mile to Alco Road, go south on Alco Road 4 miles to Astor Landing.
