Lake Istokpoga is generally shallow like most other Florida lakes, averaging 4 to 8 feet in depth with one area on the east side reaching 10 feet. The major tributaries to Lake Istokpoga are Josephine Creek and Arbuckle Creek, which are located in the northwest and north areas of the Lake, respectively. Getting there:
Located on the southern end of the lake go from Lake Placid take SR 27 to CR 621 east then to Highland Lakes Dr, the boat ramp will be on the right. To launch from the northern end of the lake take SR98 to Istokpoga Lake Access Rd, this will bring you to the ramp.
