Rodman Reservoir is part of the Oklawaha River. The reservoir was created in 1968 when an earthen dam was built across the Ocklawaha River. A four-gate spillway (Kirkpatrick Dam) controls the water levels of the reservoir.The reservoir is 15 miles long with a well marked channel and empties through the Cross Barge Canal and Lock to the St John's River.... Getting there:
Take CR 19 to CR310 west to CR315 take a left then go straight on Kenwood Boat Ramp Rd, the ramp is on the right. To Rodman Campground take CR 19 and go over the Florida Barge Canal Bridge. Turn right onto Rodman Road at the foot of the bridge. Rodman Campground is approximately 3 miles on the right.
