Volunteers Needed to Harvest/Plant Florida Salt Marsh

Help is needed on Monday, June 19 & Wednesday, June 21

Article ImageTampa Bay Watch needs some helping hands to harvest salt marsh on Monday, June 19 from 9am - noon at Port Manatee, 14495 Harllee Road, Palmetto, FL 34221-9620 and plant a salt marsh nursery on Wednesday, June 21 from 9am - 1pm at Carlouel Yacht Club, 1091 Eldorado Ave, Clearwater, FL 33767.

The harvest is hard work and a muddy project, so you will get dirty! The planting project on Wednesday is less physically demanding. The minimum age to participate is 15 years old. Salt marsh planting projects are an environmental tool for restoring lost coastal habitat.

Email Rachel at rarndt@tampabaywatch.org to register to volunteer for either project date.
