As I'm hitting up the other states in the FXR family, I'm thinking I should make the effort to visit Florida, likely this fall or early winter.
Should I do so, I'd be interested in expanding my life list of fish species, particularly snook and peacock bass.
As i'll have the freedom to visit wherever I choose in the state, thoughts on where that time of y year for snook and/or peacocks would be good. That'll give me a starting point for my reseach.

The only place I have heard of Peacock Bass being caught is in south Florida on Lake Ida. This area should also be good for snook. Not sure what the best time of year would be to catch them though. Probably would be good in the fall.
Snook are all along the east coast with more in the south because of the colder weather in the north. We have had some very serious snook kills due to deep freezes in the area. Not sure how it is on the west coast of Florida.
Well, I've made up my mind, I'm going to visit Florida late fall, early winter this year. I figure if I can visit all the rest of the Fish Explorer states this year, I can make it to Florida also. Not sure exactly when or what I'll ultimately fish for, but I will visit.
