Tying Flies at ISE Friday and Saturday Evening

Blog by: David Coulson , CO 1/11/2017 (Return to blogs)
The ISE starts tomorrow, and I’ve no doubt many of you will be attending.  For those that will be there Friday evening or Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Consider swinging by booth F564 next to the Bug Guy.  I’ll be there at that time, along with other tiers demonstrating their work.

Not sure what I’ll be putting together, but I typically have an assortment of materials and will be happy to tie requests, assuming it’s within my skill set.

I will also be at the show all day Saturday playing visitor and pestering any number of folks I know.
Whether at the booth, or otherwise, I look forward to visiting with any of you Friday or Saturday.

I hear that 'Fishin D.J.' (Rob) will be tying flies for Pyramid Fly Co as well. Not sure when, but it sounds like maybe folks here can connect with both of you in the day.

Rob was tying at the Pyramid Booth at the Fly Fishing Show, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was tying at the ISE. He is a talented young man.

Dave & others, I take back what I was just saying that DJ would be there - I mixed up ISE with the Fly Show. I have no info on ISE. Sorry about that.

About the Author

To say fly fishing is a passion for Dave is an understatement, he lives by the adage, fly fishing isnt a matter of life or death, its much more important than that. Simply, if its a fish, then Daves willing to chase it on a fly. This includes making two or three trips a year out of state to places like Alaska, Canada, East and West Coasts to fly fish for salmon, northern pike and salt water species, such as redfish. The rest of the time Dave spends his time plying Colorado waters with a fly rod for everything the state has to offer such as bass, perch, crappie, bluegill, walleye, catfish, pike and yes even trout with a fly.
