I hope your year was filled with plenty to be thankful for and your table was bountiful. I know mine year and table were, although I will admit not everything was all I might wish for as this year I lost my mother. Still the year has been filled with many blessings: a trip of a life time to Arctic Lodges, Saskatchewan, fishing with many great Fish Explorer members, publication of many articles and reports in the Coloradoan, Denver Post, and Summit Daily New. Maybe the best was Jenniferís marriage, my daughter, to Cody Kalous. Itís great to have another avid fisher in the family.
I hope you have time to hit the water, be it hard or soft, sometime this weekend. As all our fishing opportunities are truly something we can be thankful for.
In the event you canít get on the water, take a few minutes to read the newest article weíve added to our outstanding collection of informative fishing pieces. This one is by our very own Reports Editor, Shane DeBois. In ďTrout Ice Fishing TipsĒ, Shane shares tips on how he is successful on the ice. They are applicable on any trout water that develops an adequate ice cover to fish through. Iíve no doubt that after reading this piece youíll be wanting to grab your gear and hit the ice.
Just keep in mind that many waters have just iced, and use extreme caution when heading out, as we want you to have many more years of thanks.
