I'm hooked on fishing. Grew up in southern California fishing the ocean and spent summers on the Umpqua river in Oregon at my grandparents house. When I was 10, moved out to Durango where I had the good fortune of growing up on a small creek where I got my first taste of fly fishing. Spent summers walking the creek catching small rainbows and brookies on dries. I have since fished all over Colorado, becoming very familiar with the Fort Collins area where I went to school and worked at Jax in the fishing department. After school I moved back to Durango for work and feel lucky to have all this great water around, without the front range crowds. My true passion is offshore saltwater fishing, but have been known to do a little bit of everything. A few years ago I took up ice fishing, and find it as an enjoyable way to wait out the winter. My local waters are the Animas river in Durango, the San Juan, Navajo, Vallecito, and Lemon.
