Without a doubt, one of Colorado's best rivers. The Frying Pan, also known as "The Pan", is a tailwater located near the town of Basalt. The river begins at the outlet of Reudi Reservoir, and continues down until it meets up with the Roaring Fork River. This river is listed as Gold Metal Water ...

Getting There:

From the town of Basalt, head east on Fryingpan Road. Intermittent stretches of public water exist between private land all the way up to the Reudi dam. Public access areas, as well as private land, are mostly well marked.
