The Big Thompson River, located between Estes Park and Loveland is a true Colorado treasure. Nestled in the canyon beneath Estes Lake, the Big Thompson flows down through Drake to Loveland. While not a big river, the Big Thompson holds plenty of fish. You will find both browns and rainbows here, ...

Getting There:

Access the canyon west of Loveland on Highway 34 all the way to Estes Park. Intermittent public areas give fishing access along the way.
