Getting There:

US-34 to Poudre Lake. The most common access to this fun meadow stream fishery is in the small parking lot just north of Poudre Lake. From there, follow the footpath and river downstream for as long as you want to fish - literally - you could fisher your way out of the Park to the north if you wanted to travel over ten miles. The river has two looks, a small meandering stream and small boulder-clad version of the Cache La Poudres RIver that carves the canyon along Route 14 to Fort Collins. Note the trail is also named Poudre River Trail on some topographical maps and trail guides.
