Grand Junction Fly Fishing 101 seminar GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Rookie anglers interested in learning some basics about the art of fly fishing are encouraged to attend the Fly Fishing 101 seminar to be held in the Colorado Parks and Wildlife office in Grand Junction, July 19.
The evening seminar topics will include casting techniques and participants will have the opportunity to practice dry-land casting. Designed for beginners, no experience or equipment will be necessary, but discussions about proper gear, accessories and the basics of insect biology will also be included.
The one-day class is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude by 10:00 p.m. Sponsors and instructors include Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the Grand Valley Anglers Chapter of Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fishers.
