Lake John Fishing Report 7/24/16

It seems like things are finally starting to pick up – check out these pics of some beauties caught over the past few days. Interestingly, each of these trout were still packed full of stickleback minnows – maybe people are figuring them out, or the trout are just becoming bored with those minnows. Either way, it bodes well for the late summer and fall fishing, and means a trip to North Park is well worthwhile.

Temperatures here are only hitting the low 80s in the daytime, and low 50s at night – very pleasant. The wildfire is still burning – USFS says it will probably burn until the snow flies – but most of the smoke is blowing away from us off to the north and northeast, so truthfully it hasn’t been too hard to take.

Get up here !!!
