Hello from North Park, where it seems that winter is finally letting us breathe ! The ice is off all area lakes as of Monday, May 2 –
Since this is the first week of open water, things are not yet fast and furious, but we are seeing signs of an improving bite. Todd C. caught a 24 in., 5 lb. 12 oz. ‘Bow from Lake John – we’re not disclosing his techniques, but it was just good, persistent fishing with classic offerings. He said he fished hard for the better part of a couple of days, and this was his only catch – a real beauty.
We’re still expecting Mother Nature to hit us a few more times this spring, so if you get a chance to get up, come prepared for anything –
