Wildlife Forever Welcomes New Board Directors

Brooklyn Center, MN – Wildlife Forever is proud to announce Dr. Nick Schmal of Germantown, Wisconsin and Mr. Dave Washburn of Benton, Kentucky as new Board of Director members.

Dr. Schmal brings extensive insights and knowledge of natural resources after recently retiring from the U.S. Forest Service with 36 years of service. Schmal’s leadership throughout the national forest system has earned him many accolades including the Rise to the Future Award for professional excellence in fishery habitat management. As an Aquatic Ecologist and Fishery Program Leader, Schmal is an avid angler and conservationist.

“I’m proud to serve Wildlife Forever’s mission and national programs for youth education and invasive species public outreach,” said Schmal.

Mr. Dave Washburn, Vice President of Operations, FLW, LLC, brings tremendous experience from the outdoor community. Washburn has served FLW siPhoto - Dave Washburn - FLWnce 1999, contributing to its success as the nation’s largest tournament-fishing organization in both communications and operations roles. Washburn’s vision for youth fishing is a great match for conservation education and building stewardship for our lakes and waters.

“I’ve seen the success of Wildlife Forever’s State-Fish Art program and know the value it brings to the future of the fishing industry. I look forward to proudly serving,” Washburn said.
