Just a quick note to let you know that we will start generating again tomorrow morning, Thursday, at the Big Thompson Power Plant at the mouth of the Big Thompson Canyon. The return of water through the plant will jump flows in the Big Thompson River at the power plant by the Dam Store from 87 to 173 cubic feet per second.
While we were doing some maintenance across the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, there was not enough water in the C-BT canal that feeds the small plant to generate hydro-electric power. This is a common occurrence during scheduled maintenance on the project and the Big Thompson Power Plant goes on and off line several times during a normal operating season.
In other related work across the C-BT, we have also resumed pumping to Carter Lake. This means Carter is in the process of filling for the third time this season.
Pinewood Reservoir is on the rise again, as well. The small regulating reservoir fluctuates often with power generation. It has had a fairly typical operating season so far this year.
As always, please let me know if you have any related questions.
