Pizel and Zipp are new appointments to the Commission and replace Kenneth “Mark” Smith, the Commission’s Vice Chair and John Singletary, sports person representative. Both Smith and Singletary’s appointments expire next month.
“The leadership and dedication provided by the exiting members has been invaluable to CPW,” said Bob Broscheid, CPW director. “The agency is better because of them and will continue to grow in providing efficient and high quality outdoor experiences with the addition of Pizel and Zipp.”
Pizel, a public-at-large representative, brings a wealth of experience in recreation, tourism, water, land use, agriculture and real estate to the Commission while Zipp, a sports person representative, brings a passion for the outdoors as an outdoor enthusiast and fly shop owner. Wingfield, reappointed as the agriculture representative, and a Yuma county commissioner, continues to share his local government experience with the commission.
The CPW Commission, comprised of 11 governor-appointed members, sets regulations and policies for Colorado’s state parks and wildlife programs.
