Press Release, Sue Burke, Larimer County Department of Natural Resources, (970) 679-4566
C.A.S.T., or Catch a Special Thrill, coordinates each year with many agencies including the Bureau of Reclamation and the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources to put on a kids’ fishing event at Horsetooth Reservoir. C.A.S.T. engages disabled and disadvantaged children and local anglers to spend a morning out on the reservoir fishing. Fishing gear and lunch is donated to each of the children and their families.

Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, tear-down, and helping the kids get on and off the boats. The event is on June 5, 2010, and volunteers would need to be at Horsetooth Reservoir swimbeach from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, free entrance into the park for the day, and be provided lunch for their service.

If you or your group are interested in this service opportunity – please contact CJ Cullins at 970-679-4552 or ccullins@larimer.org.

I am e-mailing CJ now. We did this last year and had a ball. It was an even better time for Annie, our angler. Steve
