VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - STIHL Inc. has announced its sponsorship of the America's State Parks Ambassador Program. The youth-led program is seeking applicants between the ages of 16 and 28 to capture the essence of the outdoors through writing, blogging, photography, videos, and social media to increase public awareness of the almost 8,000 state parks throughout the United States. The program is offering ambassadors a chance to win outdoor gear as prizes if they join the movement by November 1.

As part of their role, state park ambassadors will chronicle their personal experiences in a state park enjoying recreational activities, volunteering to beautify the park or teaching others about nature through articles, photography, video, audio or art and share their stories on the America's State Parks website as well as social media outlets.
Young adults interested in becoming a state park ambassador can fill out the online application form. The America's State Parks team then reviews submissions to select state park ambassadors.
